“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
The Light of Evangelism
Evangelism is one of those words that gets some people really pumped up while others are quaking in their boots. Some embrace it while others would rather leave it up to ”someone else”.
Breaking it down, evangelism means sharing the gospel, which is something most of us do without even realizing it! When you share your story and how the love of Jesus has changed that story or you model Jesus in your actions, you are sharing the gospel...the good news of Jesus.
Here’s the thing: Students and faculty on your campus need, especially now, to hear good news…THE Good News. Sometimes that begins by opening a conversation and carefully listening to someone’s story.
Your story is priceless and meant to be shared. Don’t keep your story to yourself, it may be just what someone needs to hear!
Evangelism Resources
We have resources to guide you and help open that conversation.
-
Talk about evangelism with your NCF leadership team, friends who are good at sharing the gospel, or NCF staff about what experiences you have had and how you would like to grow
