Ambria College of Nursing at Judson University seeks applications from qualified faculty to teach didactic, clinical, and lab courses. Join a team of nurse educators who are passionate about training future nurses. This is a full-time appointment that includes teaching in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings on a trimester basis. Anticipated start date is August 2026 for the fall semester. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• ​Teach in-person didactic, lab, and/or clinical sections of various nursing courses, as needed.
• Develop lecture content, implement active learning strategies and assignments consistent with student knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
• Plan for experiences that maximize hands-on patient care at the clinical site.
• Provide direct supervision and instruction in the nursing lab setting.
• Utilize simulation and other supportive learning programs to enhance student evolvement in learning.
• Hold office hours and remediation sessions to ensure student success.
• Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on level of performance based on course objectives
• Participate in curriculum improvements to maintain currency of content and nursing best practices.

Required Qualifications: 

• LPN Program clinical instructors must hold a BSN degree.
• ADN Program clinical instructors must hold an MSN degree.
• Unencumbered professional nurse licensure in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a registered nurse within the last five years.
• Valid BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• Compliance with all clinical healthcare requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSN with an emphasis in Nursing Education preferred
• Experience teaching in multiple content areas which may include mental health, critical care, medical surgical, and maternal child health/pediatrics nursing

Working hands-on to deliver inpatient surgical care to our patients, the Ward Nurses work around the clock to see that each and every patient receive the care and attention they deserve. Our Pediatric ICU Nurses primarily work ont he Wards, and are assigned to the ICU when pediatric patients are admitted.

Main Education/Work Experience Qualifications: 

• Successful completion of Mercy Ships On Boarding program will be required for commitments of 12 months or more
• Registered Nurse with active license in home country; a minimum of two years' experience needed after licensure, including at least 1 year PICU/NICU experience taking care of critically ill children
• Recent PICU/NICU experience of at least one year full-time or three years part-time in the past 5 years AND at the point of application can show working 30 hours or more per week in an acute inpatient surgical/medical/Emergency Room or ICU setting within the past 12 months

The Operating Room Nurse takes care of surgical patients coming from the Ward to the Operating room, going through the intraoperative phase of their hospital stay. The Nurse will be expected to circulate, scrub, assist the Surgeon when necessary, and maintain accurate written OR documentation. You will participate in preparing the OR, setting up for surgeries, and cleaning postoperatively.

Main Education/Work Experience Qualifications: 

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse (or International Equivalent) with the ability to both scrub and circulate.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support are optional
• Written and verbal fluency in English
• Knowledge of Operating Room procedures, standards and equipment
• Flexibility and sensitivity to language and cultural diversity.
• Recent Operating Room experience of at least two years full time (or three years part-time) within the past 5 years, and at the point of application can show working in an OR setting within the past 12 months.
• Requirements for Operating Room Nurses who do not have scrubbing experience:
  • Acquire 6 months scrubbing experience with minimum 150 scrubbed cases
  • Should gain this experience within any of the surgical specialties listed: general, plastic, gynecology, ENT or orthopedics

Camp Echoing Hills serves hundreds of campers with disabilities year round through a summer camp, weekend camps throughout the year, and a travel program that goes all over the United States! As a nurse you will have the opportunity to provide nursing care through eight weeks of Camp for children and adults. During the remainder of the year, you will have the opportunity to provide nursing at month respite camps as well as travel as a nurse on vacation trips.
