WE’VE ALL BEEN EXPOSED

a poem by Sarah Bourns

We’ve all been exposed.
Not necessarily to the virus
(maybe…who even knows ).
We’ve all been exposed BY the virus.

Praying before patient encounters invites God into the interaction, potentially impacting both patient and nurse.

Here’s what to pray when you don’t know what to say.

A nursing student chooses to take a risk and pray aloud for her fellow students. Was it worth it?

Faith-based communities need nurses’ expertise and guidance about responding to the coronavirus outbreak.

Pain is inevitable; how we respond to it is our choice.

The antidote to incessantly hectic schedules is to stop and be still enough to discern God’s presence.
