Delivery Room Prayer Delivers

“NCF was praying for my pregnancy at every NCF meeting until the day of delivery at 38 weeks,” relates Shoshana Salgado-Muniz, RN, BSN, PHN, who is part of an NCF group in Sacramento, Calif.

“I had been specifically asking God that my water would break, and had prayed that I would not require a C-section. God answered both of those prayers with a yes. First, my water broke and I didn't need a C-section. The baby was face first which usually means C-section and is more painful because the face is wider than the top of the head.”

“That night a well-known doctor who was especially good at deliveries was in the hospital. He arrived and rotated the baby's head so she was no longer face first. That prevented me from needing a C-section. God had that doctor there at the right time because the other doctors couldn't change the baby’s position.”

“My epidural wore off in the transitional phase, so I prayed to God that His Holy Spirit would be my epidural. After that, I felt God's presence and no more pain during the transitional phase of labor!”

“Rose Brielle was born September 28 with no complications at all. Now she’s eight months old and beautiful. Praise God!”

The NCF group that Shoshana helped re-start in Sacramento is growing in number as members share and encourage each other’s faith and learn together how to practice nursing from a biblical framework. Read about this group’s fresh start: Resuscitated NCF Group Thriving
