LOOKING AHEAD
Praise God for Kathy Schoonover-Shoffner as she becomes NCF Director and JCN Editor-in-Chief on July 1. Kathy asks, “Pray that I will ask God for wisdom without doubting (James 1:5) and recognize his wisdom that comes from heaven.”
Thank God for Jane Hall’s faithful leadership of NCF and pray that God will guide Jane in her new role as a ministry volunteer to develop nurse networks.
Please ask God to provide the next NCF Student Ministries Director, who will work with other InterVarsity staff so that more students can know Jesus and serve him in nursing.
Thank God for being the Lord of the harvest! Ask God to provide the needed funds by June 30th for our staff team through NCF ministry partners who want to invest in his kingdom-building work.
Praise God for the excellent team that prepares the Journal of Christian Nursing. Ask God for more editors and contributing authors to join this team.
GROWING STUDENT MINISTRY
Praise God for 26 new believers and for more nursing students who are growing in their faith and inviting their friends to explore how God can change their lives.
Thank God for NCF staff Miriam Robinson and her work in developing leaders at UNC-Greensboro. Pray for Miriam as she moves to Durham, NC and builds NCF ministry in the area.
Ask God to give rest to dedicated Faculty Advisors who invest sacrificially in nursing students and their campus groups.
Praise God for Mary L. who returned to her school after Urbana 15 and started a spirituality and nursing discussion group that prompted many great conversations about God and faith. Pray that a strong NCF group will take root in the fall at Boston College. MA.
Pray that God will grow more ministry partners for NCF staff Krista Doan so she can continue to serve students in Central Florida. Praise God for new UCF student leaders who are preparing for fall outreach.
NCF staff Skip McDonald asks for prayer that God will provide new student leaders for NCF groups in Georgia and for new grads to continue serving in ministry.
Pray for new graduates who are preparing for the NCLEX and for students who did not pass their courses and are seeking God’s direction. Ask God to encourage them and make his path clear.
Thank God for NCF volunteer Rachel Phelps and pray that the students will meet and grow spiritually despite their busy and complicated schedules at Lenoir-Rhyne University (NC).
BUILDING THE NURSE NETWORK
Thank God for 1500 NCF members. Ask God to help them live out Christian values and character and network together to advance Christ in nursing!
Pray that the Journal of Christian Nursing will be salt and light in nursing and to the participants at the NCF-sponsored conference, Innovations in Faith-Based Nursing, June 20-23 at Indiana Wesleyan.
Pray for Grace Tazelaar as she presents at the Global Medical Mission Alliance Conference, June 24-25 at Bethel Korean Church in Irvine, CA to equip and encourage future missionary nurses.
Thank God for those who participated in the recent Nurses Christian Fellowship International World Congress. Ask God to open doors for NCF/USA to partner with NCFI to make Christ known around the world.
