LEADERSHIP
Passing the Baton
Now is the time to start thinking about next year’s leadership for your group. The beginning of the new semester is a great time for current leaders to mentor next year's leaders. What does this look like?
- First, see who might be interested in a leadership role or who you might approach that as leadership qualities. Have them complete a leadership application.
- Share with new leaders everything you wished someone had told you. Describe your responsibilities by writing them in a notebook for future leaders.
- Brainstorm as a team about ideas for the coming year.
- Have the mentee shadow you during the semester to learn the role.
Good communication now, including answering questions, can make the leadership transition go smoothly in the fall.
Charting your Chapter
