Mission Statement

Eastern Mennonite University’s (EMU) Nursing Department prepares competent, professional baccalaureate and graduate nurses from a Christian-Anabaptist perspective. The department fosters leadership in its students, preparing them to serve and lead in a global context.

Program Distinctives

EMU is known for its intercultural experiential learning. The nursing program has a simulation lab with high fidelity simulators, but we prioritize hands-on learning experiences with live patients at local health care agencies. We teach nursing from the perspective of the Sacred Covenant Model of Nursing rooted in Micah 6:8.
