Program Distinctives
The University of Mount Olive offers both the Associate of Science in General Studies with a Pre-Nursing focus and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Prelicensure BSN). Our Pre-Nursing Associate Degree represents a pathway into a BSN degree program for students just starting out on their nursing journey. Students in the Prelicensure BSN can choose between the daytime format or the fast-track format with classes in the evenings and weekends, including the summer. The daytime format is collegiate-athlete friendly!
Students learn hands-on in our 3,000 square feet nursing simulation lab containing two high-fidelity rooms with lifelike manikins, a low-fidelity room simulating an emergency department, and a debriefing room.
