Christian Nurse Blog

UT TylerPRAISE GOD for the NCF group at UT Tyler and the student leaders Alyssa, Salem, Caitlan, Brittani, Fran and faculty advisor Belinda Deal. Congrats on renewing your NCF chapter affiliation. We are praying for God’s love, grace and truth in your nursing school.

Veteran NCF staff Judy Shelly retired last year after 40 years of ministry with InterVarsity, but she still stays in touch with close friends who served on the Mid-Atlantic Leadership Council (MALC). These gifted and godly women were instrumental in developing the ministry of NCF by advising groups of students and RNs, encouraging and leading events, and encouraging one another.

stressedJust before Thanksgiving, 15 students and faculty gathered at a university in the Midwest for a lunch meeting of Nurses Christian Fellowship and InterVarsity. Most of the students had a huge exam at 1:00 p.m. following the meeting.

Renee LickNurses have an amazing opportunity to take part in God's healing in the world! Yet many nursing students lack this vision because they do not yet know Jesus or understand His abundant love for them.

irellaRecently an NCF member shared how God led her to care for a patient just diagnosed with cancer. Irielle was in the room when the doctor spoke briefly with the stunned patient, handed her a box of tissues, and left.

Nursing students, be encouraged by this word from the Lord: "May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands" (Psalm 90:17 NIV).
