NCF at NSNANSNA Update #4:

NCF at NSNANSNA Update #2:

Kathy at NSNA 2011God was already working on the way to NSNA! My seatmate on the plane to Salt Lake City was a nursing student who was chosen to do a session at NSNA. What an honor for an undergraduate! She will talk about becoming the professional you want to be, including values and spirituality. She is a Christian and was excited to learn about NCF and JCN.

Cherry Blossoms in JapanUpdate from Chieko Fukushima, Japan NCF: We just had NCF meeting in Tokyo to pray with our nurses. I have been visiting refugees near our church and brought coffee and cakes the other day. They were so happy and comforted. Some will return home next week. But we will have picnic to see cherry blossoms near the park.

A close friend of Jesus had been dead four days when he asked Lazarus' sister, Martha, to open the tomb (see John 11). She knew the risks were great – along with the odor.

Pray this week for Kathy Schoonover-Shoffner, JCN editor, as she talks with nursing students and represents NCF and JCN April 6 – 10 at the 2011 National Student Nurses Association annual convention in Salt Lake City, UT. Ask God for conversations with students that will reflect his heart for healing and wholeness.

Please pray for Chieko, Japan NCF and the Christians in Japan, she writes, “God is showing His CARE and LOVE through Christians and churches. Some accept Jesus. Pray for Christians to keep hope and joy in Jesus so that they can give hope and joy to others. We need God's help and grace. This condition will continue for long long term.

GraduateWe're celebrating nursing students who are graduating and following Jesus into the nursing profession. Well done!

"This can be a difficult time as new graduates take their licensure exams and start new positions," said Bonnie Hann, NCF Campus Liaison. "We want to help with this transition so they can have a positive influence as Christian nurses."

As spring blooms around the country, we're rejoicing that new life in Jesus transforms nurses, students and faculty who have a life-giving influence in healthcare.
