DEVOTIONAL

selfcareDo You Care for Yourself?

“Stress and anxiety levels increase due to trials, disappointments, loss, ill-health, relationships, or pressure at work or school. With all the stressors in life, spiritual disconnect can occur. Many people turn away from God and feel disconnected from him, which ultimately increases stress levels and steals joy.” Read what Kathy McKinnon, NCF faculty advisor at Palm Beach Atlantic University, suggests about caring for yourself and reconnecting with God!

CAMPUS STORY

Shenandoah U NCF

NCF at Shenandoah University

A new NCF chapter has started at Shenandoah University! Maryssa Walker, the president of the group, shares the story, including how God moved miraculously to obtain approval to start the NCF group from the Nursing Deans, the Office of Student Engagement, and the Dean of Spiritual Life--all in just two days!

LEADERS CORNER

spiritual assessmentFirst Steps to Spiritual Conversations

Have you ever wondered, “How do I share my faith with my classmates?” This may not be the right question to ask initially. In the nursing process, assessment comes before intervention, so perhaps a better question to ask first is an assessment question. Knowing how to perform a “spiritual assessment” with your classmates can give you information to walk with them in their spiritual journey. Learn more.

CANANCF Summer Conference

Consider sending a student delegation from your chapter to the NCF Summer Conference, July 19-22, in Azusa, CA! Hear from amazing plenary speakers and be inspired to live and serve as a Christian nurse! If your school sends two or more students, they are each eligible for a $50 scholarship. Use the code NCFTEAM when you register. You may apply for additional assistance using this scholarship form.
