Mission Statement

The Union Adventist University Nursing Program prepares students from diverse communities to be competent professionals and caring generalists in the profession of nursing. The program reflects a commitment to Christian values, professional standards, holistic care, and service as modeled by Jesus Christ.

Program Distinctives

  • Nursing students are able to take an elective nursing course called Global Health Nursing. The elective course introduces global health principles and best practices of health care in developing countries. Concepts of basic health care, education, and prevention of diseases throughout the life cycle are emphasized.
  • Students attend clinicals at local health care facilities at every level of the nursing program.
  • Simulation is utilized heavily in the nursing program, providing students with the opportunity to enhance their clinical judgement and nursing skills.
