Program Distinctives

Malone’s BSN offers direct acceptance into the program for every eligible applicant, and students begin nursing courses in their first year while gaining hands-on clinical experience in their third semester. 94% of Malone BSN graduates have passed the recently updated NCLEX on their first attempt over the last three years. Additionally, 100% of job-seeking graduates gain employment within six months of graduation. Malone nurses are prepared to work in a variety of settings as the post-COVID19 world creates continued adaptations in the field.

Launching Summer 2026: Malone’s new accelerated BSN track, which is built on the same curriculum but can be completed in as few as five (5) semesters once required support courses are completed. This is ideal for transfer students, those with College Credit Plus (CCP) credits, or those seeking a second bachelor’s degree. Students will benefit from the long-standing quality of classes, clinicals, and lab experiences but within an abbreviated time frame of less than three years.

Mission/Service-Learning Opportunities

Malone offers local, domestic, and international service-learning opportunities for all of our students, including nurses, through our Center for Intercultural Studies (https://www.malone.edu/academics/center-for-intercultural-studies/) The Center also offers three academic programs that can easily supplement a nurse's education: Global and International Studies, Spanish for Service and the Professions, and Urban Studies.
