New Student Outreach

Did you know that people are most open to joining new organizations like NCF during the first few weeks of school? We call this time New Student Outreach (NSO).

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Informational Meeting

This meeting is to gather those interested in planting an NCF with you. It is not a launch gathering but a gathering of those you know who would be interested in seeing NCF on their campus and participating in the team that prays and launches NCF. See this document for more information: NCF Informational Meeting Outline

God's Invitation to Invite Others

As you consider doing New Student Outreach, use this 15-minute Bible study with your leadership team to prepare for NSO!

Time Spent During NSO

The goal of New Student Outreach is to build new and lasting relationships with people across your campus, here are some tips:

  1. Spend the majority of your time building relationships with people instead of on logistics and admin.
  2. Make your invitations personal, frequent, and individualized
  3. Don’t go it alone. Get a friend or two to help you!
  4. Make the first meeting in an easily accessible time and location.
  5. Have food and have fun!

Schedule a Coaching Call

This is really important! Coaching calls are about 30 minutes by phone or zoom with your NCF Student Ministries staff where we pray, encourage, celebrate and determine next steps for your NCF group’s outreach. Scheduling this call helps you have the support you need and together we navigate resources that will help your group grow and thrive.
