New! Monthly Prayer Calendar

prayerChristy Secor DNP, RN, CDWF · Professional Ministries Director

Prayer is such an important part of the ministry of Nurses Christian Fellowship. Pastor and evangelist F.B. Meyer has shared, “The greatest tragedy in life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.” We want you to know how to pray for this ministry and for each other. We need your prayers.

Beginning in March, we are publishing a prayer calendar for the ministry needs of NCF. This calendar provides one or two requests as well as praises for each day of the month. Each month, new requests will be shared with you through our web site.

Your prayers make such a difference! Thank you for being willing to pray!

Student Ministry Highlight: Stories from Urbana

Urbana Healthcare LoungeTim Lin MA · Student Ministries Director

In December, we asked you to pray for the Urbana missions conference occurring in the last few days of 2018. NCF had the privilege of hosting our first-ever Healthcare Students and Professionals Lounge at Urbana, and because of your prayers, the Lord orchestrated amazing conversations in our lounge space!

We asked a few students to share about what they learned and experienced at Urbana. Read their stories here.

Wanted: Prayer Partners to Support Student / Nurse Prayer Needs

prayerChristy Secor DNP, RN, CDWF · Professional Ministries Director

In the next several weeks, we will be providing a confidential way for students and nurses across the country to share their prayer requests using an online platform through our NCF website. These prayer requests will be shared with a team of volunteers who agree to partner with us and pray for these requests.

If you are interested in volunteering to be a part of our team of prayer partners, please reach out to me by email at and let me know. Thank you for considering being a part of this ministry.

NCF Blog: Promises That Overcome Death

crocusBethany Eckerd, BSN, RN · NCF Campus Staff Minister at Virginia Commonwealth University

Death is all too often a part of our experience as a student and nurse. We can find ourselves saying, “This is not how it’s supposed to be.” How can we believe that real joy and gladness will overtake the brokenness and death we encounter? Read here how Bethany was encouraged to answer this question in light of God’s Word.
