Keep Running

Jessica Harper · Marketing & Communications Manager

Are you weary and burdened? Feeling the weight of leadership? You are not alone! Being a leader is hard work, particularly when it involves ministry. Not only are you battling against your own human limitations but you're also fighting a spiritual battle. The enemy doesn't want you to succeed. He doesn't want group members to engage and he certainly doesn't want new people to locate or join your group.

But, God does! Although trying, ministry leadership is also a tremendous gift; you don't have to do anything on your own strength. Don't forget that the Lord is right beside you, guiding your every step as you talk with nurses and invite them into your community. He is there to celebrate when people say yes and still there when they say no and attendance is low.

God is sovereign. He has a plan for you and for your group and simply asks for faithfulness. Here at NCF, we are so grateful for your willingness to lead and to serve our ministry in this way. Praying this for you today:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." -Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV)
