Prayer and Blessing of the Hands

DESCRIPTION: For National Nurses Month we are hosting a unique hour of community, Bible exploration, prayer, and a Blessing of the Hands ceremony as we celebrate faith in nursing and encourage one another. The one-hour event is free and open to all. This special evening will be led by Kathy Schoonover-Shoffner, PhD, RN, NCF National Director and Editor in Chief, Journal of Christian Nursing and Christy Secor, DNP, RN, DWCF, NCF Professional Ministries Director.

Saline Process Witness Training

DATE:  Ongoing

LOCATION:  Online and In-Person Options Available

DESCRIPTION:  The purpose of the Saline Process™ witness training is to equip nurses (and other healthcare workers) to be witnesses for Christ in their clinical settings. The Biblically-based teaching is relevant to different cultures and healthcare settings.

Patients learn eight tools that can be put into practice with their patients and colleagues. After completing the Saline Process, participants should be able to assess a patient's attitude toward Christ and know how to respond appropriately, applying the ethical principles of permission, sensitivity and respect.
