DESCRIPTION: For National Nurses Month we are hosting a unique hour of community, Bible exploration, prayer, and a Blessing of the Hands ceremony as we celebrate faith in nursing and encourage one another. The one-hour event is free and open to all. This special evening will be led by Kathy Schoonover-Shoffner, PhD, RN, NCF National Director and Editor in Chief, Journal of Christian Nursing and Christy Secor, DNP, RN, DWCF, NCF Professional Ministries Director.

Collaboration of Licensed Nurses, Inc.

DESCRIPTION: Collaboration of Licensed Nurses, Inc. is an Illinois chapter of Nurses Christian Fellowship. CLN, Inc. advances NCF's mission to uniquely transform the nursing profession through biblically grounded communities and effective faith sharing by focusing on soft skill enhancement. We’ll also be discussing Kathleen D. Pagana’s book, Etiquette & Communication Strategies for Nurses, during each meeting in 2024. It is not necessary for you to purchase or read the book to join us every other month.
- Wednesday, April 17 & Saturday, April 20: Teamwork and Effective Communication are a Strong Pairing. Chapters 1-3 of Etiquette & Communication Strategies for Nurses will be discussed.
- Saturday, June 15 & Wednesday, June 19: Teamwork & Conflict: How to Increase One and Decrease the Other. Chapters 4-7 of Etiquette & Communication Strategies for Nurses will be shared.
- Saturday, August 17 & Wednesday, August 21: Building Both the Team and Teamwork. Chapters 8-10 of Etiquette & Communication Strategies for Nurses will be included in this discussion.
- Wednesday, October 16 & Saturday, October 19: Integrity: Vital for Effective Teamwork and Communication. Chapters 11-14 of Etiquette & Communication Strategies for Nurses will be shared.
- Wednesday, December 18 & Saturday, December 21: Communication: Critical for Problem Solving. Chapter 15 of Etiquette & Communication Strategies for Nurses will be discussed and the book summarized.

Saline Process Witness Training
DATE: Ongoing
LOCATION: Online and In-Person Options Available
DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the Saline Process™ witness training is to equip nurses (and other healthcare workers) to be witnesses for Christ in their clinical settings. The Biblically-based teaching is relevant to different cultures and healthcare settings.
Patients learn eight tools that can be put into practice with their patients and colleagues. After completing the Saline Process, participants should be able to assess a patient's attitude toward Christ and know how to respond appropriately, applying the ethical principles of permission, sensitivity and respect.
