Lipscomb University provides global opportunities to explore ministry and vocation as an expression of the Kingdom of God. We are witnesses that the Spirit is active and moving through short-term efforts and it is our hope that you will creatively utilize your unique gifts and passion as you share the gospel through service and ministry. Our long-term strategy ensures our volunteers go back year after year, joining the same communities, deepening relationships, and developing best practices for engagement.

Lipscomb teams go all over the world and engage communities in a variety of ways. 

Our annual Service Day gives you the chance to make a difference through local schools, hospitals, homes, homeless shelters, parks, churches and other nonprofits. Everyone on campus clears their plans and cancels classes, so all are able to serve. 

Our robust Missions team oversees 60 annual mission trips that bring the gospel to cultures across the globe through medical treatment, education, relationship building and other ministries. Some of these are international trips while a handful are domestic trips, working to address the needs right here in our own country.

Nursing-specific mission and service opportunities include, but are not limited to community health screenings in metro Nashville, assessment and triage for underserved and uninsured people in Destin, Florida, as well as foreign efforts in Haiti, Guatemala, and Malawi.
