Well of Hope Donated by Nursing Class of 2011

Living Water InternationalNursing graduates in the Spring 2011 class of East Carolina University College of Nursing left behind a unique senior class gift – far beyond the school's borders.

The class generously donated to Living Water International which provided a well with clean drinking water for a village in Guatemala. The community of 150 villagers had been dependent on a hand-dug well which was unprotected. Many villagers got infections such as cholera and dysentery because of the polluted old well.

Living Water International not only provides access to safe drinking water, but also offers people the "living water" that Jesus Christ provides.

We're throwing our caps in the air to celebrate these ECU nursing graduates who are making a difference in the world! Read more of their story from Mission Network News.
