On Monday, June 28, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a case that has significant ramifications for campus ministry. The Court ruled 5-4 that a California law school can require a Christian group to open its leadership positions to all students, including those who disagree with the group's statement of faith.
This ruling may have a significant effect on how NCF, InterVarsity and other religious (not just Christian) organizations work on campuses around the country. Issues involve official campus recognition of our groups, use of campus facilities and school funding. These all may be affected based on how schools interpret the Supreme Court's decision.
Please pray for God to continue his transforming work of grace in the lives of students, especially those in schools of nursing. Read reactions on the case from InterVarsity and Christianity Today.
