Stories of God's Healing

4262012holisticWhat happens when nurses and nursing students get together and tell stories of God's healing work in the lives of patients?

"God gets the glory as the one who heals," said Miriam Robinson, NCF Campus Volunteer. She prayed for weeks with the student leaders of the NCF chapter who hosted the event, "Holistic Healing," at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.

The nurses who spoke at the event not only testified to God's healing power but also invited the nursing students to surrender their own goals and plans and be willing to join God in his healing work wherever he leads. "It was exciting to see students respond to the challenge," said Miriam.

There were 45 students who came; for many it was their first time at an NCF or InterVarsity event. They even received class credit for attending as part of their clinical hours. The healing gospel of Jesus was presented clearly and two students were interested in learning more about what it means to follow Jesus! For the NCF leaders who planned the evening, that was the miracle they were praying for.
