Spread the Word, Not the Germs

As flu season approaches, churches can play a key role in preventing the spread of infection.

"Spread the Word, Not the Germs: A Toolkit for Faith Communities" is a feature article in the new Journal of Christian Nursing, October – December 2011. A volunteer workgroup of public health personnel and parish nurses in Wisconsin collaborated to create a 224-page toolkit to prepare congregations for health emergencies and prevent the spread of disease. The article reports on the pilot study of the toolkit.
