Jane Hall, NCF Director, reports, "We have received word from our friend and co-worker, Chieko Fukushima, the Director of Japan Nurses Christian Fellowship."
Chieko wrote, "Thank you for your prayers. JNCF and I am fine. I was visiting Christian friends in Chiba, suburb of Tokyo on 11th and missed train at 14:42. The earthquake happened 14:46! I could not go home for two days and stayed with Christian friends. It was God's protection and provision. I am back home now... Please pray for my people in crises. God's Great LOVE is on MY PEOPLE.”
Let's join Jane as she prays…
Dear God,
We thank you for protecting Chieko and other Japan NCF nurses. We ask that you would give them your peace and comfort. Father, we pray that you would make yourself known to the Japanese people who do not know you. Open their hearts and minds to your truth so that they would recognize their great need for Jesus as Savior and Lord of their lives. God, we know that you are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Help the Japanese people to not fear, even though “the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging” (Psalm 46). Father, help the Japanese people to be still and know that you are God so that they can have faith in you and hope for eternity.
Amen.
