NCF Students Care for Haitian Orphans

by Mitzie R. Meyers

I am the faculty advisor for the NCF group at Southeastern Louisiana University. We are very excited about how God has worked wonders in our efforts to reach out to those in need.

SELU in Haiti

Our dynamic group of students organized a fundraiser for God's Littlest Angels, an orphanage in Haiti. Through the students' efforts and the generosity of our student body and faculty, we raised $600 plus the donation of medical supplies to the GLA orphanage and NICU.

Two of our NCF leaders went to Haiti over Christmas to see firsthand the results of our fundraiser. Aimee Arceneaux is the NCF president and Kelly Costello is the SELU in HaitiCommunity Service Coordinator. They are passionate about this cause and an inspiration to the other students. When they returned to our group, Aimee and Kelly shared their amazing story of God's love through service.

We feel so blessed that we were able to carry out this work and we felt God's hand guiding us the whole way.

Good to read! I am leaving for a medical mission in Haiti in April! This will be my first time there and I am excited to go! It is great to see young Christian nurses living out an example to providing for those children. Teresa
