What a summer back in Uganda! For three weeks we introduced the NCF Global Project students to ministry possibilities in Uganda and saw God working in their hearts in deep ways. Afterward I stayed to reconnect with my former teaching colleagues and students at Makerere University. It was a joy to connect many of them with other nurses who desire to begin NCF in Uganda.

With a renewed Uganda nursing registration in hand, my nursing skills were to put to use during Mission Week at Kampala Baptist Church. The vision of the church is to reach the needs of the neighborhood surrounding it. While numbers don’t tell the whole story, 2,351 patients received needed medical and dental care, lab tests, eyeglasses, counseling and prayer. Those who benefited most were the 70 who met Christ for the first time. Members of the church will continue to follow up new believers and others who have ongoing needs.
Walking and working alongside brothers and sisters in Christ was the highlight of my time in Uganda. Seeing God at work in their lives is the cause of much joy in my missionary nurse heart!
