Vision/Philosophy of Ministry Statement

One of God’s purposes in the world is to bring people to Himself. Nursing students and nurses have a unique role in that they are often with people at critical points in their lives. These students have the opportunity to give compassion and offer hope when people are questioning their purpose in life, their reason for living, and also looking for relief in their suffering. Training nursing students in how to be followers of Jesus (our example of a perfect caregiver) and infiltrate their campuses through a witnessing community will prepare them to be world-changers as they care for the sick and hurting in God’s world.

Our country is in the midst of a nursing shortage — a shortage of people who are willing to care for the wounded, the suffering, the dying, and the forgotten. Jesus has commanded us to care for the “least of these” and so now, more than ever, nurses need to be supported by a praying community, cared for by others, and spurred on to continue the race that is set before them.
