Earlier this year we completed a huge makeover on the NCF website, so check out resources and ideas for nurses, especially under Start a Local Group. If you or participants in your group are not NCF members, I’d encourage you to go to the Membership section and consider joining NCF. We hope you like our new look!
Start planning now for National Nurses Week - May 6-12
The ANA recently announced this year’s theme of Delivering Quality & Innovation in Patient Care. Though National Nurses Week is still a few months away, you can start planning now to have a brunch, banquet, prayer walk, or other special event.
Discuss with your group or form a committee to plan an event. Decide what is do-able for a speaker, food, facility, or advertising. Will this be an event that is seeker-friendly? Pray about what God would have you do. This is a great way to fulfill your group’s purpose of reaching out to others in the nursing community.
As in years past, NCF will provide a theme related Bible study guide and prayer guide for you to use. We will send these resources in the next issue of Vital Signs.
The Mission of Healthcare was a seminar track at the Urbana 12 Student Missions Conference in December. Renee Lick, NCF Student Ministries Director, and Connie Jarlsberg, NCF Mission Specialist, were among the speakers.
