Thank you for serving as a leader of an NCF group! We value the time and effort you provide so that nurses in your area can gather together and be encouraged, equipped and empowered for serving Christ in nursing.
How is your NCF group celebrating National Nurses Week? You may or may not have special plans, but this year’s theme, “Nursing: The Balance of Mind, Body and Spirit,” provides natural opportunities for Christian nurses to discuss God’s view of holistic health.
Here are some tips and resources you can forward to the members of your group to take advantage of this special week and encourage them in their faith and nursing practice.
We’ve created a special Bible study on this year’s theme for you and your group members to download and use for a group study or personal devotional. Invite your nurse friends and coworkers to explore how Jesus defined health in body, mind and spirit. We offer this Scriptural meditation for your reflection on what it means to love God, love others, and love yourself.
Some NCF groups are getting an early start by hosting gatherings in their area this week. Check out some of these NCF events and pray that people will be drawn to the living God and healthier lives through these special gatherings.
Coming May 1: Let your group know that they can join NCF with a 25% discount from May 1-31, 2017 by using Discount Code: nnw2017 during checkout. The discount also applies to membership renewals so be sure to spread the word about this special offer. NCF members receive the Journal of Christian Nursing, CE discounts, and become connected to our NCF network of Christian nurses who support faith and practice.
Please share this information with your group members. We'd love to hear your thoughts on how you find balance in mind, body and spirit. This is a significant topic that is an ongoing challenge for many of us, and you can email NCF with your comments on this important topic in nursing.
