How is the health of your group?healthy

Nurture – Have you checked the "temperature" of your group lately to make sure that all is well?  How does your group meet the felt needs of the members?  Are you praying for each other's needs?  Are your Bible studies addressing the current concerns of the members?  How are you encouraging one another?  From time to time it may be good to pass out a survey to get feedback on how things are going.

Outreach – is your group reaching out to other nurses?  Have you considered having a meeting specifically designed to invite co-workers?  Has your group considered being a part of an outreach event, like ministry to the homeless, a Touched Twice clinic, free health fair, etc?  I challenge you to consider an outreach event.  Not only will you be helping others, but your group will bond deeper as a result of the experience.

Remember health does not equate to size, but quality.  Talk with your group about their ideas and work toward a balance of nurture and outreach.

Recent Grad Listserv changes to NCF Google Nurse Group

The former Recent Grad Listserv has changed and expanded to be an online forum for nurse discussion.  Whether already a part of a local group or in an area where you might be the only Christian nurse you know, all nurses are welcome to join.  New topics are brought up each month.  Recent topics include Self-Care and Nursing, Stress and Nursing and Self-Esteem and Nursing. Find out more at: http://www.ncf-jcn.org/nurse/nursegroupsubscribe.php.

Do the nurses in your group know about NCF resources?

Please refer them to the NCF website at www.ncf-jcn.org for information on membership, publications, prayer guides, announcements about mission and education opportunities, the Journal of Christian Nursing and more!
