Nurse Survey Results Are In! Thank you to all of you who completed the annual survey. This year we had:
Nine groups became inactive. The main reasons were the leader had personal health issues or is caring for an elderly parent, lack of interest, and scheduling conflicts. There are 27 nurse contacts that are interested in starting a group in their area this fall or are willing to be a contact for their area. Please pray for them.

Consider A Prayer Breakfast Two relatively small nurse groups (7-12 members) each held a prayer breakfast or National Nurses Week event. They each had over 120 nurses attend! This is phenomenal! A breakfast/brunch doesn’t have to be big and fancy. You can hold one at a church fellowship hall, have muffins/fruit and coffee/juice – very simple. Someone can lead a time of prayer, using various methods/topics or you could invite a local speaker to talk. Feel free to be creative! These types of events are great for inviting co-workers too! "Let us not give up meeting together, ..., but let us encourage one another," ~ Hebrews 10:25 Do you have ideas on how to help nurses move from interest in meeting to forming a group? What do you think will help overcome obstacles to meeting? Please email ideas to Bonnie at Email Bonnie |

Charting the Way Keeps You Up To Date Many of you noted on the survey that you would like more email notices from the NCF office. For those of you who are not members of NCF, you may not be aware of some new member benefits. One benefit is an email publication with NCF updates called Charting the Way. Here is a link to the most recent issue (Charting the Way - July 2008). Charting the Way is sent monthly and offers updates on nursing resources which may be helpful for you and your group members. Other member benefits include:
