World Changer Joins NCF Staff

“It is said that if you change the university, you change the world. I believe this from the top of my head to the tips of my toes,” asserts Jen Wojtysiak, BS, ThM. As the new Student Ministries Director with NCF, she’s taking aim at changing the world on campuses where nursing students are found.

“Nursing students are a strategic corner of so many campuses. They are a unique community where the intersectionality of their faith and vocation can impact their career and also the lives of so many.”

The college campus of the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point is where Jen, as a freshman, made a pivotal decision: “to live with Jesus as the Lord of my life.” She explains that InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) is part of her own story. “It’s where I made a decision to make my faith my own and to say ‘yes’ to following Jesus with my whole life--my career, my family, my all.”

Jen comes to NCF with a decade and a half of history with IVCF, of which NCF is a part. “For the past 15 years, my heartbeat has been for college and university students to know Jesus’ love for them and to grow in, like, and with Jesus. I want to see them growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world,” Jen said. She seeks the outcomes of students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed.

Jen is envisioning 150 student NCF chapters by June 2020. “This is continued growth from the current trajectory of growing 38% in the last three years,” she observes. “As we partner with undergrad IVCF chapters around the country, continuing to plant from NCF inquiries, hire more NCF staff, and engage alumni, we are praying for continued growth. I have a vision for developing these new leaders though online development groups for student leaders,” Jen explains.

“When students are asking life-changing questions, we have an opportunity to influence the next generation of nurses, teachers, business women and men--developing world changers that will bring about the Kingdom of God in their spheres of influence.”
