NCF Continuing Education Influences Hundreds

We are rejoicing in a successful year of NCF Continuing Education (CE). More than 300 nurses and students have participated in twelve programs in nine states, with two more workshops scheduled for May and July.

"CE ministry is one of the most effective ways NCF connects with nurses and students and successfully influences them to address the spiritual needs of patients they care for in many different settings," said Fran McHolm, NCF CE Director.

A nurse who attended a recent event on spiritual care commented, "This program will help me to identify patients' spiritual distress and apply appropriate interventions more effectively."

We have also produced a DVD series with a CE option, Compassionate Care: Nursing's Christian Legacy by Judy Shelly. Explore the influence of Christian faith on contemporary nursing practice and outcomes of care. This DVD/Workbook package can be used by individuals and small groups to earn 6 CE contact hours.
