Nursing Students

NCF Urbana 12 ExhibitAmazing! Urbana 12 can hardly be described any other way. Our outstanding NCF staff and campus volunteers planned healthcare seminars, hosted the NCF exhibit, taught seminars and guided 7 nursing students in the special Student Leaders Track.  It was a joy to meet students face-to-face and pray with them about God’s plans for their lives!

Urbana 12 SummaryNursing students who received NCF scholarships to Urbana 12 shared how God touched their hearts and minds at this life-altering student mission conference.

Urbana 12 Great Invitation

More than 16,000 participants at Urbana 12 were powerfully challenged with the Great Invitation of God to be actively involved in his work around the world. See the Summary Video of the conference.

Urbana 12Our NCF staff team was in Saint Louis with thousands of students for the Urbana 12 Student Missions Conference, the last week of December. We had hundreds of conversations with nursing students seeking God’s will for their lives. Thank you for praying for us! One student shared why she was thrilled to attend:

Urbana 12NCF staff Robert, Jane, Chrissy and Bonnie, have been meeting students each day at the exhibit. Renee Lick, NCF Student Ministry Director and Connie Jarlsberg, NCF Missions Specialist, presented seminars on the Mission of Healthcare to hundreds of students.

We asked these nursing students why they're going to Urbana 12. Their passion, vision and love for the Lord impressed and inspired us!

Summer in LawndaleLast summer, I spent seven weeks in North Lawndale, a neighborhood of Chicago with a reputation for gang violence, poverty, STDs, obesity, and limited access to health care.

10182012lukeI love working with students in my role as InterVarsity staff at Bloomsburg University (PA). This fall, our student leaders have fostered a consistent theme: "the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few" (Luke 10:2). Their conversations reflect their enthusiasm for God's work as they lead their peers on campus.

Erin Hildebrand was a missionary for ten years – before she enrolled in nursing school. As an “older” student, Erin reflects the growing diversity of nursing students today.
