During my youthful summers at Sky Ranch Camp, I had great fun riding horses, canoeing, and swimming. At Sky Ranch, I was challenged to know God and to give my life to him. We studied God’s Word and sang hymns and choruses that were packed with Scriptural truths.

CruiseThis week Lisa Carlson, our NCF coworker, just returned from a cruise to celebrate her 30th wedding anniversary. Lisa oversees NCF Member Services and we missed her in the NCF office!

ExamWhen I was preparing to enter a graduate nursing program, I took the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). When I finished, I knew that I had not done well. Weeks later, I received my test scores in the mail and my feelings were confirmed.

horseAs a young girl I loved to read books about horses, and I thought I knew everything about them. But then I had a chance to ride one, and I realized that some things cannot be learned by just reading books.

Railroad tracksChange. Some people embrace it, some people detest it, but it is a fact of life! The reality is that change can be challenging, but it is necessary for living creatures to grow and adapt to changes within themselves and in their environments. Babies do not stay babies!

Jane HallI am so privileged to witness what God is doing among nurses and nursing students through NCF ministry! God is providing growing opportunities to develop strong disciples who will care for others with the compassion of Christ.

ReneePlease join our NCF staff team in saying thank you to Renee Lick, NCF Student Ministries Director. God has called Renee to leave her position with NCF at the end of August. She will continue ministering to students and faculty through another position with InterVarsity’s Graduate and Faculty ministry in Chicago.

Hydro-electric powerNurses know the five rights of medication administration: the right patient, right med, right dose, right route, and right time/frequency. Nurses also check that medications don’t expire and lose effectiveness and potency over time.

We are obsessed with slowing down the aging effects of time on our bodies or speeding up our productivity. Everything we do is connected to time: past, present, or future.
