Many nurses serve in a variety of roles as advanced practice nurses (APNs) in specialty areas of practice and underserved communities. NCF recognizes this unique nursing practice and opportunity for ministry. NCF ministry specific to APNs will launch in 2010.

Goals of APN Ministry

• Educate and empower Christian APN's to influence the workplace for Christ one person at a time
• Glorify Jesus Christ in the workplace and community
• Manifest the love of God to patients, families and colleagues through word and deed
• Mentor and disciple APN's in their spiritual walk through the study of God’s Word, prayer and modeling the integration of faith into life and practice
• Minister to those who are spiritually, emotionally and/or in physical need
