Invites Churches to Pray for Nursing

• We pray that nurses and nursing students will experience God’s encouragement as they face challenges and opportunities in caring for others in the name of Jesus Christ.

• In light of the serious nursing shortage, we pray that students will be called to enter nursing, and faculty called to teach them. We also pray for nurses working today, that they will provide safe and compassionate care despite difficult conditions.

• We pray for nurses and nursing students in our congregation, as well as other health care leaders in the church and community.

• We pray for those experiencing illness in our church, and that compassion shown to them by people in our congregation will be a witness of God’s love.

• We pray that God would empower and equip Christian nurses to represent Jesus, and use Nurses Christian Fellowship and the Journal of Christian Nursing to bring them hope and courage.
